What this package helps with?

Reactivity

Reactive dogs are those that bark, lunge & growl! Is your dog constantly reacting to dogs, people, other animals, novelty, moving objects etc? Don't struggle through dog reactivity  alone; get help from a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.

Whether the behaviour is based in fear, anxiety, prey-drive or over-excitement, by working with Dog Scouts you will learn how to build new skills, behaviours and confidence in your dog.

Fear Based Problems

We can help dogs that struggle with fear related behaviours in relation to things that are new, novel or unfamiliar.  Does your dog tremble, hide, run away or bark at strangers, novel objects, in new places or at certain sounds like fireworks or vacuum cleaners?

Other common challenges

This includes resource guarding, separation related behaviours and more.

Our Approach:

We take an Evidence-Based Approach to dog training, behaviour and welfare. We will teach you how to:

1. Manage your dog's environment to limit them from learning and reinforcing negative associations with certain stimuli.

2. Provide Enrichment which has been shown to boost Optimism and reduce behaviour problems.

3. Play Games that grow Optimism, Confidence and Resilience.

4. Teach your dog new behaviours & coping strategies.

5. Gradually & systematically expose them to other dogs, people or whatever other triggers they react to. We do this without overwhelming or stressing your dog out.

Ongoing SupportThe Onboarding Package gives us a strong foundation, but behaviour change and training are most effective when supported over time. Additional sessions are typically arranged after the initial package to continue progress, build on skills, and provide the consistency needed for lasting results.

Neither you or your dog need to suffer . Why not make it a goal that your dog is more confident and relaxed by this time next year?

Did we mention this can be achieved through positive and fun games based training methods?! Book a FREE 15-minute Discovery call to ask questions and see if we're a good fit to work with eachother.

"Maeve was absolutely brilliant helping us train our very nervous, un-toilet trained rescue spaniel. With different games and training tactics we were able to help our dog gain confidence to help with her separation anxiety and crate train her. I would recommend Maeve to anyone who might be struggling with their dog. It was so worth it for us!"
